TAHMOOR GAINS HEADROOM WITH WE-ER PIPE

Tahmoor mine has installed high pressure WE-ER pipe onto their longwall monorail system. The installation has replaced twelve hoses with 5 pipes, as the pipes are able to handle high pressures in larger diameters. This has increased the amount of headroom available on the inbye end of the monorail system and has reduced the exposure of operators to potential hose failure issues.

The use of High Pressure WE-ER pipe on the longwall monorail rigid sections is a perfect application, the pipe can be supplied in 5m lengths and has a easily assembled joint arrangement which can be assembled or disassembled with just a screwdriver. The pipe is available in pressures from 70 bar to 500 bar, and in pipe sizes from NB40 to NB150.
