DERON "PUSH PULL" GIVES EXTRA GRUNT

North Goonyella have taken delivery of a Deron “Push Pull” monorail traction unit. Fully imported from the USA, the Deron unit is manufactured by Swanson Industries and sold in Australia by Longwall Hydraulics. The unit is required to drive the 100m rigid section of monorail, an application for which it is ideal. The high capacity of the unit and its positive grip on the rail when operating give it advantages over friction wheeled units in steep grades, where heavy loads are present on the monorail or when there is significant water make out of the roof. The Deron “Push Pull” handles heavy push requirements in all conditions with ease.
