STONEDUST PIPE SNAKES AHEAD

A delivery of WE-ER high pressure pipe has been supplied to North Goonyella for supplying stonedust down the longwall face to the tailgate. The pipe is supported by chains which are hung off brackets under the cable trays, with a joint in the pipe every two pans. A feature of the WE-ER pipe is it’s ability to bend in the joint, and flex in the pipe body, being high quality seamless cold drawn tube. It is a perfect application for this pipe which is also being widely used for supplying HP longwall emulsion down longwall faces to the tailgate. The special joints in the WE-ER pipe are designed for heavy duty longwall applications, with Weinhold working with Longwall engineers in Germany and the USA to refine their designs which have been working on underground plough and longwall systems for over 30 years.
